Five Dollar Day Original Watercolor Study

$1,250.00

Original Watercolor Painting over Graphite Pencil Drawing Framed

Image Size: 15”x33”

In the conception of this work, Tim Huhn pays tribute to Henry Ford, an American Titan who not only changed the landscape of industry forever with his revolutionary assembly line, but also with his progressive wages program known as “The Five Dollar Day.” This striking image exemplifies the spirit of Ford's The Five Dollar Day and the optimism of American Muscle. Rather than viewing workers simply as a business expense Ford realized that the success of his company depended on the success of every individual employee.

For those of us drawn to Tim Huhn's art deco series, there's a freedom to this piece that speaks to the sense of hard-work and achievement, the idea of knowing what you're working for and not compromising.
